NSA Spying

Judge Louis Brandeis of the Supreme Court had a great summary of the 4th Amendment. The right to be free from "unreasonable search and seizure" is really the right to be left alone.

But in this day and age, the NSA and the National Security State has whipped up our American culture into a state of paranoia. We allow things like the NYPD to search our bags at random in the NYC Subway system.

We also allow the NSA to spy on us. This is an abrogation of our 4th Amendment freedoms.

I was inspired by pages from Ted Rall's book on Edward Snowden, and I would like to share them here. This book is published by Seven Stories, and you can get a copy, here.

This book helped me to understand just how illegal, and out of control the surveillance the NSA is doing, on average Americans.
